OK, so after being contacted by Ashwinder I decide I can post there again.
I try to post. I get a reply back. It says that chapter 2 cannot be posted because of too many errors.
'OK,' I think.
They sent me a list of some errors, some for chapter 1, but those have not been addressed so I assumed it had been posted and corrected Chapter 2.
When I corrected Chapter 2 I sent notification. First, chapter 1 had not been posted and when I sent in the notice for chapter 2 I was chided for not correcting chapter 1. (WTF? You said Chapter 2 was the problem)
So I go back and do all the corrections for chapter 1, although at this point I'm mildly disenchanted with the idea of going back to Ashwinder.
I double check everything. I send them notification it's been corrected.
I get an email this morning saying chapter 1 was posted and chapter 2 was not.
The email included this statement: but in view of the fact that errors, however minor they may appear, have been pointed out to you, we must insist that they are corrected before we release the chapter from the queue.
Of course, the email included a list of corrections.
NONE of them were in any of the previous communications, and yes, I did keep them all.
TOTALLY disenchanted now.
Seriously.
Unless I am missing something... am I missing something? |

I can't send out a v-gift like everyone else because one of you won't accept them and I can't put all 220 of you in together because of it. And no, it won't tell me who so I can't even tell you if it's someone active or someone on a defunct account that I should tale off anyway.
(Total lie. I have people friended that haven't posted in 5+ years just in the hope that I'll be here if they decide to come back.) |

In the last 3 weeks 5 people have started calling me Sunshine like it's my real name. (Not like 'darlin' or 'girlie' or stuff you call a girl in general who you don't know her name, but are friendly with.)
Sunshine?
REALLY?! |

When Star Trek Conventions started out they were female oriented?
WHAT? HAPPENED?!?!
(Not that I minded being young and cute when I went, but STILL!)
http://www.newsweek.com/id/196011
LOL @ Bill in the tie-dye suit! Fantastic!
However, this gives me hope that one day HP conventions won't be so female heavy and we'll be more balanced.
I'd like it if more males attended, even out of costume, I don't care.
Some of the panels and gatherings made me uncomfortable at times because they were talking about lusting after male characters and I felt so out of place because I don't.
I'm into the Snape/Hermione for HERMIONE. I don't really lust after any of the book boys except for Snape and there it's the grouch/literate aspect, not anything else. (And at this point he's just the favored suitor of Hermione and less about him in general.)
There are moments, oh let's say, the pics Tom Felton posted on his blog recently that made you think 'holy christ on a cracker! When did that happen?' But that makes me think of Tom, not Draco and it didn't make me want to go out Draco hunting in the smut categoies.
In short, I wonder sometimes if we're alienating ourselves too much. I'd like to see more husbands and boyfriends. |

I will not be on the OWL archives now or at any time because they will not allow addresses from Yahoo. I have had this address for over a decade and I am not changing it. EVER. That is all. |
